MEMBUAT JARINGAN KOMPUTER MENGGUNAKAN WINDOWS XP

BY : SUMANTRI PRAMUDIYANTO
The computer network is to connect two computers or more, so that between one computer
with others can exchange resources such as file sharing, printer, etc. by using the protocol
The same, in this case TCP / IP.
The computer network has been widely used for various

needs, eg:

- WARNET
- MULTIPLAYER GAME
- PERKANTORAN
- KAMPUS, etc
To create a computer network device is required as follows:

- Two or more computers

- LAN Card/NIC according to the number of computers (for now typically have an onboard computer)

- UTP Cable
- Crimping
- RJ45
- Switch/Hub
if you want to use three computers ata u more

- Scissors

are as follows:

WANT TO DECIDE HOW TO MAKE A COMPUTER NETWORK?

This is necessary because the configuration cable to network two computers with three / more distinct.
To connect the two computers is not necessary to use switches and UTP cable with
straight wiring type, while for networks with three or more computers using switches and
UTP cable with cross-over wiring configurations (Regarding the wiring will be discussed later).

INSTALLING THE CABLE RJ-45 UTP

Because in this tutorial we will use a UTP cable as a medium, then we must put
RJ-45 connector on the cable so they can be plugged into the LAN CARD, as we have said earlier
configuration of the network two computers with three different computers, the way is as follows:

Make A Computer Network Using Windows XP

After all the equipment we have collected a complete ready to create a computer network, step by steps are as follows:

WANT TO DECIDE HOW TO MAKE A COMPUTER NETWORK?

This is necessary because the configuration cable to network two computers with three / more distinct.
To connect the two computers are not necessary switches and wiring using UTP cable with straight type, while for networks with three or more computers using switches and UTP cable wiring configuration with cross-over (Regarding the wiring will be discussed later).

INSTALLING THE CABLE RJ-45 UTP

Because in this tutorial we will use a UTP cable as a medium, then we need to attach the RJ-45 connector on the cable so they can be plugged into the LAN CARD, as we have said earlier configuration of the network two computers with three different computers, the way is as follows:

Configuring two computers using a crossover

Peel both ends of the outer skin using utp cable crimping blade or scissors, with a length of about 1.5cm, like this:
After UTP cable outer skin peeled
Then sort the colors by the rules if one end of the cable using the T568A configuration then only use the T568B cable end. (The configuration can be seen in the figure below)
Konfigurasi kabel T568A dan T568B
After both ends of the sorted color according to the above configuration, align the cable end by cutting a small piece utp cable (no cable in the peel), about a result like this:
UTP cable that has been flattened ends
Insert the cable into the RJ -45 carefully, should not be confused order, then the result will be like this:
UTP cable is inserted after the RJ -45

Then Crimping / clasp the cable using a crimping pliers until you hear a click. (Remember in doing crimping do not be too hard pressed for causing a broken connector.
UTP cable at Crimping / clamped
Once completed in crimping, then the results of both ends of the cable will be as follows:
Already Installed UTP cable on the connector

INSTALLING CABLE CONNECTORS UTP TO HAVE INSTALLED COMPUTER

After utp cable connector is attached, the next step is to plug the utp cable to the LAN CARD computer, if you only use two computers then install UTP cable RJ -45 who have been installed with the configuration of cross-over to each computer, but if it consists of three computers or more then we must use the switch / switch with a topology roughly as follows:
LAN topology with four computers
Switch / Hub Seen from the rear
The picture above is a switch or hub comprising 8 ports, which is widely available in the market switches / hubs with a number of plugs rj -45 4/8/16/32 port, about pemelihan stay tailored to the needs. To install the UTP cable to the switch, you just plug an RJ -45 connectors have been installed on the UTP cable into one port on the switch / hub and the other on the PC. If you have the plug it will display the icon in the system tray LAN Connected computer:

Configure IP ADDRESS

Once the network is physically installed, then you must configure the IP address of each computer that can communicate / connect. IP Address is addressing computer network consisting of 32 binary bits. To create a LAN IP Address you can use one of the following classes:

Class A: 10.x.x.x with a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0
Class B: 172.16.xx - 172.31.xx with subnet mask 255.255.0.0
Class C: 192.168.xx with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

In a LAN network, all computers must use the same class. In practice this time we
use a Class C. Because the number of computers that are connected few, where class C is able to connect a maximum of 254 computers. So we use the IP:

192.168.x.x with subnet 255.255.255.0

255.255.255.0 means 24 bits in the IP Address is the network address and 8 bits are the host ID (remember 255 if there is an 8 bit binary it is 11111111). Value of x in the top can be filled up with a range 1-254. So:
192.168.x = Network address while x = Host ID

So the LAN Address Range IP address us later = 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254 255.255.255.0 Subnetmask (if confused with the above, always use the IP address range is just if you want to build a LAN, ga legitimate bother thinking about the theory above)

At this time we will use the network address 192.168.1 and the host ID between 1 -254. (The name on each computer must be unique meaning that if any computer with IP address 192.168.1.1 then there should be no other computers in a LAN that has the IP Address)

How to Set the IP addess is as follows:

  • Click Start - Settings - Control Panel to exit the Control Panel dialog box (as seen drawn below)
Dialog Control Panel

  • Double-Click the Network Connection icon to exit the Network Connection dialog box
Dialog Network Connection

  • Double-click Local Area Connection icon to exit the dialog box Local Area Connection Status
LAN Area Connection Dialog
  • Double-Click Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) that is in the dialog box Local Area Connection Properties dialog box to exit the new: the Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) Protocol
Dialog TCP / IP
  • Click use the following IP Address, enter the IP address data. Computer 1 IP Address is 192.168.1.1 Computer 2: 192.168.1.2 and so on, with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. whereas for the gateway left blank, because the LAN network is not connected to another LAN / Internet.
Fill out the IP Address
  • After the data the TCP / IP is entered, click OK to close the dialog box Internet Connection (TCP / IP) Properties.
  • Click OK to close the dialog box "Local Area Connection Properties"
  • Click Star - Run - RUN to exit the dialog box, and type CMD to exit the dialog box new "command"
  • In the dialog box "Command" earlier, type: ipconfig. If the Ethernet from a computer not connected to the LAN, will be out the results as shown below.
Ipconfig
  • Perform ping tests the connection to the computer side (computer with ip address 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, etc.), by typing at the command prompt:
C: \ Documents and Settings \ Lenovo> ping 192.168.1.2
Pinging 192.168.1.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.2: bytes = 32 time = 3ms TTL = 64
Reply from 192.168.1.2: bytes = 32 time = 3ms TTL = 64
Reply from 192.168.1.2: bytes = 32 time = 2ms TTL = 64
Reply from 192.168.1.2: bytes = 32 time = 2ms TTL = 64

FILE SHARING IN WINDOWS XP
To make sharing files do the following steps: (case below was performed on all computers that are connected in a LAN to set up a user who can access the computer)
Step 1:
  • Open Windows Explorer and navigate to here: Tools> Folder Options> View> Advanced Settings ... scroll down to option "Use simple file sharing (recommended)" => non-disabled / unchecked this option.
Step 2:
  • Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Local Users & Groups> Users
Right click in right pane and select "New User":
  • Fill in the username field, password, and confirm the password => this username and passwor d, which would be given the right to access the folder you want shared
  • Disable it / unchecked the option "User must change password at next logon"
  • enabled / checked option "User can not change password" and "Password never expires"
  • Click "Create", then the new user was already made
  • Close the console / window "computer management" is.

Step 3:
  • Open windows explorer and right click on the folder you want shared, select the "Sharing & Security", select the option "Share this folder", click "Permissions".
  • Select the "Everyone" (the default is selected), and click "Remove"
Click "Add" and enter the newly created u sername textbox above the "Enter the object names to select" button and then click "Check Names"
  • Click "OK" (until the context menu of all closed-sharing).
For example you will be sharing files on the computer has the IP address 192.168.1.2 m aka way is:
Click Start Run: \ \ 192.168.1.2
then enter the user and password, users can access computer 192.168.1.2
See the folder it will be in sharing the computer 192.168.1.2
PRINTER SHARING IN NETWORK
With this printer sharing the one computer can be used by all computers in a LAN network, the steps are as follows:
  1. Click Start - Printers and Faxes
  2. Select the printer you want us shares and select sharing Select the printer you want us shares and select sharing
Printer Sharing
 3. Give the name of the printer (which will appear in the network) in the share name and click OK
